Strategic PR Planning 

It’s all about the plan. But first, research.  

Connect dives into a project using experience and research to uncover the issues and identify key stakeholders. We listen intently to completely understand the impacts caused by large, complex and often inconvenient infrastructure projects. 

 

Next, we build a strategic communications plan to educate, address issues, and provide ongoing information to communities. The secret sauce is creating strong key messages and a project narrative that turns complexity into simplicity with clear, consistent information. Plan, then execute.

Successful public outreach is simple, but not easy. Simple messages and design that resonates with the correctly identified audience is our key to success. This requires experience and technical skill that Connect consistently delivers with our award-winning public outreach.

We come out strong—engage early and strategically—and build project support.

 

No project succeeds without community trust. Connect earns trust through immediate response, active listening, conflict resolution and transparency.
We lean heavily on our solid communications plan to use the appropriate tools and precise, concise messaging to engage the community and media for the duration of the project. 

 

Sometimes things go wrong; it’s unfortunate, but realistic. The good news is the Connect team is trained in crisis management and providing public information during and emergency.

Collateral 

Design and develop a complete suite of project collateral materials that may 

include: project logo and brand, fact 

sheets, FAQs, eblast updates, construction alerts, signs, diagrams, display boards infographics and website.

Media Relations

Develop and execute project media strategy; content development including news releases, Op/Ed pieces, byline stories, press kit and speeches; story pitching, press conferences and media tours. 

Events

Plan and manage project related events 

including: open houses, community meetings, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and media tours.

Social Media 

Develop social media strategy, build 

decks, boost and monitor comments 

across all platforms.

Meeting Facillitation

Develop and facilitate educational, information gathering and/or consensus building public meetings.

Website

Design, build, update and manage project specific websites. Drive users to the site through tools/tactics in the Strategic Communications Plan.
